Four Army personnel martyred during encounter in Pulwama


Four Army personnel, including a Major, have been killed during an encounter between terrorists and security forces in South Kashmir today. At least three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have been cornered by the army.

One soldier and a civilian too were critically injured in the shootout.

According to news agency ANI, the four Army personnel who lost their lives, belong to 55 Rashtriya Rifles. A gunbattle is still underway in Pinglan area of Pulwama district.

Search operations are underway.

On February 14, at least 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a suicide terrorist attack in Pulwama, Kashmir by terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. After which Pakistan has been facing the heat from across the globe. India has withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation tag given to Pakistan in 1996 and has hiked customs duty on all Pakistan good entering India by 200%.

The deadliest ever attack on Indian security forces in Kashmir – has drawn international criticism against Pakistan for ‘supporting’ terrorist organisations and providing them with safe havens.
