Priyanka Chopra had all eyes on her when she stepped up on the Global Citizen stage in Paris, as a presenter for the evening.

Rocking a dramatic blue and black floral ensemble, the actress shared a video on her Instagram handle that had her saying, “Here I am! Global Citizen live baby, in Paris.”

“There has never been a greater need for advocacy than right now,” the Bollywood star said in her live broadcast from Paris.

The broadcast on social media opened with a pre-recorded performance by pop superstars BTS in Seoul before the show kicked off in Paris. The band comprising of Jin, Jimin, RM, V, J-Hope, SUGA and JungKook performed their 2021 hit single ‘Butter’ from Namdaemun (Sungnyemun Gate), a historical landmark in South Korea.

Another familiar Indian star joining the starry lineup was Anil Kapoor. Proud to see the talents doing their bit to help society, fans on social media went as far as comparing the Bollywood stars to BTS and saying “What BTS is to KOREA is what they (Priyanka Chopra and Anil Kapoor) are to INDIA.”

“Priyanka Chopra and BTS making us proud,” another fan said.

Meanwhile, some others felt that their back-to-back appearances, could possibly be a hint of the Korean Pop superstars probably heading to India for a live gig. “Priyanka Chopra hosting… I told ya’ll BTS coming to India,” a fan tweeted.

Sir Elton John also performed hits including ‘Tiny Dancer’ and ‘Your Song’ in front of the Eiffel Tower in a dazzling green suit. “No one should be left behind,” said the 74-year-old pop legend, who appeared despite a hip injury that forced him to cancel the rest of his tour dates this year.

Priyanka shared a video of Elton John and wrote, “Over the next 24 hours, we are going to see the world of politics, music and activism come together with two urgent goals: to defend the planet and defeat poverty.”
